This set includes five beautifully embroidered glove puppets: Magic Beans, Jack, the Giant, a Table (featuring a hen, gold, and a harp), and Jack's Mother, as well as detachable axe. Jack and his mother, who are extremely poor and subsist on a dairy cow, face a turning point when Jack is compelled to sell the cow at the market but instead trades it for five magic beans. Upon returning home, his angry mother throws the beans out of the window. The next morning, a giant beanstalk reaching into the clouds has grown from the beans. Jack climbs the beanstalk, arrives at a castle inhabited by a giant, and steals the giant's hen and a bag of gold, eventually escaping with the giant's magical harp.
